This week sees the opening of what looks to be a wonderful exhibition: Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses, at Brooklyn Museum. This is the first North American stop for the show, which has been featured in Paris and Rotterdam. If the dresses I’ve seen in early photos such as the one above are any indication, this show will be akin to the Mugler show the museum hosted a few years back in terms of the fantastical forms materials can take on in the world of fashion. Opening day is Saturday, but the show runs until December; that being said, if you like what you see, do not sleep on buying tickets.
